Over ten years ago, the decision was made to purchase a niche in the Celebration columbarium. That decision continues to give me peace regarding end of life issues. The columbarium is beautiful, serene and so spiritual, nestled amidst the grounds of a church complex. The atmosphere is uplifting, and I love that it borders a main street which reminds me that the circle of life goes on.
The intimate memorial service in the columbarium Chapel was beautiful especially with a reception conveniently held next door in the St. Andrew’s Room. Everyone at the church could not have been more helpful and facilitating.
The Chapel and Courtyard are so well cared for. I personally find it a joy to help decorate the area for Christmas, Easter and patriotic holidays. They are vivid reminders that loved ones are not forgotten. When a loved one is ill or passes away, there is a tendency to be ambivalent and indecisive "regarding the right place in the right way". That did not happen for me because all my qualms were settled as soon as I walked into the columbarium Courtyard.

At the mercy of God, our third Son move on to his Eternal Glory on June the 12, 2013. He passed on at age 39, after bravely fighting a terminal Cancer that affected his Lymphatic system.
His last wishes, together with his Wife, mother of two boys then ages 9 and 7 was that his ashes be place at the Columbarium in Celebration, where for a period of his life, early in their marriage they lived very happily. Ever since his remains rest in peace in the court yard where we visit him every Sunday on our way to mass at Corpus Christy.
Further more, my wife and I moved to Orlando, FL, where we lived, to be near him when the Lord call us to his eternal Glory. Se we have our place near him for the rest of the days.
We are so blessed to be in a unique courtyard where God and Peace are present while you visit your love ones, to be close to them.
May God bless us all when the time comes to be together in his eternal Glory.

My husband , Flavio and I moved to Celebration in 2001 looking for a gentler weather and job related move . What we discovered very soon it was a wonderful community I never encounter in my numerous places I lived in the United States and outside the United States.
Celebration became our home and community our friends and support when we needed it.
My granddaughters spent every summer with us for many years and it became their home away from home . Church has been part of our lives and faith our guidance and strength and memory building.
After many years enjoying out life and friends here in celebration , life changed when Flavio became terminally I’ll and decisions have to be made for his departure to a better place of peace and tranquillity, however I had to decide where his resting place will be.
While on his final journey , Flavio told me, with a smile, that he will like to remain in celebration . The columbarium was the answer and what a blessing to have his remains here with me in the community we love , where our church and friends are. Since then the columbarium has become my refuge , place to talk to Flavio even argue at times in my native language but loving it and the meditation garden where he is resting gives me the beauty of nature , the sound of birds and tranquility. For me will always be home and when I broke my foot and became difficult to climb the little hill to the back gate, I approached the columbarium committee with a suggestion to create an accessible path to our loved ones not only for "a broken foot " but also for people with less mobility.
By the grace of God and effort of the church community we do have an easy way to the back gate and entry to the meditation garden any time we need to be closed to the ones we lost.
My sincere thanks and gratitude to the Presbyterian Church for keeping in mind that this is our place to live and rest with God by our side.

Every Sunday after church we had the tradition to visit the family members that had passed. My mother always taught me that it is equally important to spend time visiting family in heaven as it is to see living family members. I always thought my mother would remain in our family pantheon back home in Venezuela.
Circumstances have changed and now the immediate family is residing in Florida. She actually used to spend many months per year here with her kids and granddaughters. It was a little bittersweet to change the family tradition, but I have no doubt that this is a better place where she is next to us in her beloved Celebration. My father and I visit her every Tuesday to pray and change the flowers. We try to emulate the beautiful arrangements she used to make to decorate our house and the family pantheon every week. I hope she watches proudly from above. The Columbarium is a beautiful place that is well taken care of here in Celebration.
I am always so grateful for the dedicated work that is put into such an important location for me and many other people. When my father and I come to the Columbarium, we feel very at peace and much closer to my mother. Above all, it is also a place when you can feel the love of your loved ones while we honor their memory until we meet again.
